The work F4I.– is a visual formulation of various aspects and phenomena of pathological anxiety. The five objects, which are over 2 m high, illustrate the connection between one's own point of view and one's own perception and describe anxiety and panic disorders as a result of distorted perception and negative evaluation of experienced situations.
The possibility of being able to change one's own point of view and the associated play with different perspectives as well as clear references to optical illusions communicate the central importance of irritation, deception and evaluation in the perception of anxiety and in dealing with anxiety and panic disorders. Abstraction and aestheticization of an emotional world that is experienced as oppressive and gloomy thus enable an unprejudiced confrontation with the subject of anxiety and panic.
