Goede is something inbetween a script and a typewriter font. The skeleton of the lowercase letters is closely based on the design of the letters that Julius de Goede showed in his book ›Kalligraphie für Einsteiger (Calligraphy for Beginners)‹ as an example of how the character of a font changes when serifs are added to it. While the low-contrast stroke and the rounded endings and connections refer to the writing with a felt-tip pen, the construction of the letters with its strong serifs is reminiscent of early typewriter fonts.
